14th In a blurring of the lines, will the 60D be a 7D or vice versa. See poss. 1.3x crop and \_pro x1.6 crop\_ info on the 7D page

7th We\_ve had a comment [thanks] that the 60D will actually remain CF, not a SD card.

June 13th Aug 25th for 60D and 1D4? [CR]

7th We\_re told (thanks) to expect the 60D and 1D4 announcements in August, although no specs supplied.

At CR there is another spec list for the 60D

x 15.1 megapixels, ISO 100-25600,7 fps, Digic V
x Movie-mode: 1080p with 30 and 24fps
x Incl. GPS for geo-tagging
x SD-card slot (no CF)
x 148x109x75mm @ 738g

May 28th Some suggestions for 60D features [CR]

x \_The 60D will have 720p, 1080p video modes. 30p is already in the firmware and the Mark II hack could be used in this camera easily. Much better CMOS than the 500D improved even from the 5D Mark II.\_

The MkII reference covers the difficulties of adding 24 fps support in the 5D2.

It will be interesting to see how many of the features suggested to us last year about Canon sensor developments finally do appear in the 60D.

Look on 60D high ISO performance as a strong marker for performance from a 30MP plus 1Ds4 at its highest ISO settings (although potentially with improved pixel binning at the hardware level).
